Sori Hwang

Sori is a first-year PhD student in Educational Psychology at The Ohio State University. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education from Sungshin Women’s University in South Korea. She previously worked as a researcher at the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE), a national research institute in South Korea, where she developed expertise in quantitative data analysis.

Her research interests include students’ self-regulation, social relationships, and parenting. She is particularly interested in how these individual and social factors are related to students’ learning and development, with a focus on students who experience academic difficulties or are underserved in educational settings.
