Fei Pei, MSW, LSW

Fei Pei is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work in the Falk College at Syracuse University. She earned her Ph.D. in Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Pei’s research program focuses on advancing the well-being of vulnerable children, youth, and families by addressing community disparities and identifying protective factors that foster resilience. Her recent work leverages big data to investigate youth violence, digital parenting, and the prevention of child maltreatment and domestic violence. She also conducts research on maternal health, further broadening her commitment to improving outcomes across generations.

Dr. Pei’s scholarship bridges methodological rigor with applied impact, integrating advanced analytics with culturally informed perspectives to inform community-based interventions. Her research has been recognized through numerous internal and external grants and awards, including the 2025 Excellence in Research Award from the Falk College at Syracuse University, the 2021 Merriss Cornell Distinguished Researcher Award, the 2019 Kempe Interdisciplinary Summer Research Institute, and Seed Funding from the 2016 Clinton Global Initiative University.
