Dr. Kathryn Maguire-Jack

Kathryn Maguire-Jack, MSW, MPA, PhD, is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Michigan. She studies child maltreatment prevention, with a focus on understanding macro-level factors affecting parenting, including public policies and neighborhood structures and processes. She teaches courses in child welfare, public policy, program evaluation, and research methods. Her work is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Children, Youth and Families, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, the Ohio Department of Children and Youth, and Triple P America. She has expertise in program evaluation, policy analysis, and advanced statistical methods. Dr. Maguire-Jack serves as the Title IV-E Faculty Director, Director of the Child Maltreatment Prevention Lab (https://childmaltreatmentpreventionlab.com), and Associate Editor for the journal Child Maltreatment.
